The activity of Pieraccini Timber Agency has started in 1927 by Giulio Pieraccini, as agent for some Jugoslavian and Austrian Sawmills (i.e. Leitgeb in Kuehnsdorf). Giorgio Pieraccini has started in 1956 and Paola Pieraccini has started to work in the Company since 1987.
The Agency is well-known in Italy and abroad. 
Dr. Giorgio Pieraccini is President of Agelegno (Italian Timber Agents Association) and Vice-President of FEDECOMLEGNO (Timber Traders Association which is now part of FEDERLEGNOARREDO, the bigger wood-working industries association).
He has joined the meetings between the Swedish and Italian Associations to settle the basis for the contractform "ITALIAWAGGON 1985" and "ITALIA 1998".
The Company is highly specialized in the sales of european softwoods and all of their added-value products. 
Pieraccini s.a.s represents some of the leader sawmills and manufacturers such as MAYR-MELNHOF, SYSTEMHOLZ and KRONOSPAN. 
It has been exclusive agent on the italian market for GRANINGE VERKENS AB since 1978. The agency for this company has ended in 2002 when SCA has bought the GRANINGE MILLS.
Pieraccini s.a.s. has very long and established relationships with all the different segments of customers: big Importers, small and medium Importers and the main manufacturers and planing mills. All the customers are strictly selected and trustable from a financial point of view. The agency has been marketing and buiding-up a market for all the represented companies, providing them punctual informations, market researches and consulting, and guaranteeing friendly settlements of eventual claims.
